The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). Careful attention to the design of the module ensures that the switching system minimizes its impact on the transmission distance of USB1.1 interfaces. The MUX is available in 36:1 or 18:1 formats and enables a single source of serial data to be switched to one of 36 or 18 devices under test. This allows the data source to load information to, or receive information from, the device under test. This 36:1 version can be software configured into two independent 18 way MUXs enabling two separate sources of serial data to be connected to separate banks of 18 devices. The module is ideal for performing bulk testing of any device that relies on a serial data communications port to load software or control the device operation. The AD9164 is a high performance, 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and direct digital synthesizer (DDS) that supports update rates to 6 GSPS. The DAC core is based on a quad-switch architecture coupled with a 2× interpolator filter that enables an effective DAC update rate of up to 12 GSPS in some modes. The high dynamic range and bandwidth makes these DACs ideally suited for the most demanding high speed radio frequency (RF) DAC applications. The DDS consists of a bank of 32, 32-bit numerically controlled oscillators (NCOs), each with its own phase accumulator. When combined with a 100 MHz serial peripheral interface (SPI) and fast hop modes, phase coherent fast frequency hopping (FFH) is enabled, with several modes to support multiple applications.

Surface Resistance Tester

The different specific resistances are specified by selecting one of the pre-programmed materials, or by measuring the specific resistance of unknown materials and entering the result. Preferably the coat thickness is displayed, but the measurement and display of the actual resistance, the square resistance and the specific resistance is possible, too. All measured values can be transmitted into a PC via a serial interface. Controlling the MR-1 on the other hand is not possible.

100MHz Signal Generator

The DDS8m generates cosine, sine and ACMOS/TTL outputs simultaneously and is programmable in 1µHz steps from 100Hz to 100MHz. It is also programmable for FSK and CHIRP outputs. The DDS8m is controlled by an RS232 serial interface. Phase can be programmed with 14-bit resolution. The Frequency is accurate to 1ppm when using the on board TCXO timebase or you can use an external timebase. It requires 5 VDC power. SOF8 windows software is available as an extra cost accessory.
