Power Quality Measurement & Digital Fault Recording
-
In view of the growing number of factors with a disturbing influence on power systems and the ever increasing sensitivity of devices and installations on the consumer side, simple monitoring criteria such as undervoltage or overcurrent are no longer adequate. Reliable registration of all the relevant processes within the electrical power system calls for constant observation of a wide variety of derived parameters, such as individual harmonic content, system unbalance and interharmonics, and the swift identification of even slight deviations from the norm.

Stimulus Induced Fault Testing
SIFT
-
SIFT allows for the analysis of numerous stimuli to identify speed, fault, and parametric differences in silicon. The heart of the SIFT technique revolves around intentionally disturbing devices with external stimuli and comparing the test criteria to reference parts or timing/voltage sensitivities. Synchronous interfacing is possible to any tester without any wiring or program changes. The system can be based on either a motorized probe station or portable microscope stand for test head applications.

Service Drop Locator & Metal Detector
VM-585
-
The VM-585 is a combination of the popular VM-550 utility locator with the added benefit of a built in Ferrous Metal Detector. This makes it ideal for locating short distance runs such as service drops and to detect buried ferrous metal objects such as buried valve box covers, buried tanks, and manhole covers. The advanced filtering of the VM-585‘s metal detector rejects materials such as bottle caps and aluminum cans and zeros in on finding only ferrous materials. The manual gain control allows it to be controlled and able to work close to large metal objects such as automobiles and chain link fences while still looking for the targets underground. The VM-585 will locate through asphalt, concrete, or grass and in temporary conditions such as snow.
