The IIB-1553-PC104+ is an intelligent interface card giving full MIL-STD-1553 test, simulation and bus analysis capability on the PC104+ bus, providing 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants in a single card. The IIB-1553-PC104+ supports concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with Bus Monitor (BM). An additional stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) facility is also provided, with comprehensive multi-level triggering capability. Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. The unit provides a variable amplitude dual redundant 1553 interface. 2 Mbytes of dual ported RAM are provided. PCI Fault Insertion Switch Cards for Differential Serial InterfacesThe new modules include the Differential PCI Fault Insertion Switch (model 50-200) which is designed for lower data rate serial interfaces such as CAN and FlexRay, and the High Bandwidth Differential PCI Fault Insertion Switch (model 50-201) which is designed for higher data rate serial interfaces such as AFDX and 1000BaseT Ethernet. Each module allows the introduction of fault connections that include data paths open, data paths shorted together, and data paths shorted to externally applied faults such as power supplies and ground. The software driver defaults to a protective mode where conflicting faults are prevented to avoid accidentally shorting unintended paths, such as power to ground. A separate mode allows complete freedom in setting fault patterns.

The VF1600 station can produce a maximum current of 1600A at up to 5V using an 8.3 mS half sine waveform at the built in test station, and THETA and DVF tests at up to 500A at 10mS pulse width. It is derated for wider pulses. For rectangular VF pulses at 300us or 1ms, it can produce up to 2000A. The station can also test all of the usual FEC200 tests in the same test program.
