Dry Systems
-
Chips are made up of many layers stacked on top of one another, and it’s not necessarily the latest and greatest immersion lithography machines that are used to produce these layers. In a given chip, there may be one or two more complicated layers that are made using an EUV lithography machine, but the rest can often be printed using ‘older’ technology such as dry lithography systems. This is certainly more cost-effective for customers, since these older machines are less expensive to purchase and maintain. Read about how dry lithography systems are enabling progress.

Cytogenetic Drying Chamber
CDS-5
-
Developed in cooperation with Mayo Clinic, Thermotron's Cytogenetic Drying Chamberthe CDS-5was specifically designed for conducting cytogenetic slide drying tests during harvest of in situ and non-in situ grown cultures. The CDS-5 provides the optimum controlled temperature and humidity environment required to achieve ideal chromosome spreading results. As evidenced in research conducted by the Cytogenetics Laboratory at Mayo Clinic, the CDS-5 facilitates reliable and repeatable chromosome spreading. The use of an environmentally controlled drying chamber is a practical and cost effective way of achieving ideal chromosome spreading in a routine and highly consistent manner. Favorable chromosome spreading results can be obtained for both in situ and non-in situ cultures including PHA stimulated lymphocytes, bone marrow, amniocytes, and fibroblast.

Dry Film Thickness
-
Dry film thickness, coating thickness or paint thickness as it is often known, is probably the most critical measurement in the coatings industry. It provides vital information as to the expected life of the substrate, the product’s fitness for purpose, its appearance and ensures compliance with a host of International Standards. In 1947, Elcometer launched one of the world’s first non-destructive coating thickness gauges, the Elcometer 101 Coating Thickness Gauge. For more than 6 decades, the design and production qualities of this rugged and reliable instrument have been the watchwords for all our products and these philosophies are still held today. Elcometer has a comprehensive range of Dry Film Thickness gauges to meet all of your coating inspection requirements.

Dry Heat Diffusion Cells
Phoenix Series
-
The Phoenix™ Diffusion Cell provides improved ease of use, high durability, and greater versatility as compared to conventional hand-blown vertical diffusion cells. Phoenix cells operate on dry heat; no water-jacketing is required, allowing construction from heavy-duty borosilicate glass held to very tight dimensional tolerances. The extract-and-replace sampling through the large diameter opening in the sampling arm accommodates standard pipette tips (~300 μL), simplifying the sampling process while reducing training and operating costs.
