In the energy classes 1,400 Ws and 2,800 Ws, rotors with NdFeB magnets up to a diameter of approx. 60mm are typical applications. With this device, you can magnetize with pulse currents of up to 60 kA.

As magnetic resonance images can be distorted by electromagnetic fields, frequently the location is isolated by passive shielding to somewhat insulate the detectors from image distorting EMI. But for a fraction of the cost of the machine an active EMI compensation can fully protect the image from damaging fields generated by other electrical equipment, passing traffic, elevators or other nearby equipment.

Direction indicators are indispensable for use in the electrical assembly of three-phase motors. In normal use, the test leads are connected to the live terminals, with an R / L display showing the later direction of rotation of the electric motor. In addition, this model can be used for the contactless determination of the direction of rotation of switched-off or not connected motors. Place the switched-on measuring device on the motor parallel to the longitudinal axis without test leads. Now turn the shaft of the motor, the measuring device now shows a right or left movement.

Magnetic Level Gauge Switches

ABB's magnetic level gauge switches for point level alarm and/or control can mount to a KM26 magnetic level gauge or an LS Series cage level switch.These switches are completely isolated from the process fluid as they are magnetically activated by a magnet equipped float (KM26) or attraction sleeve (LS Series). The unique magnetic coupling action eliminates seals, diaphragms, springs, and torque tubes common to other level switching alternatives since there is no physical contact with the process fluid. The magnetic coupling also eliminates process connections to the switch; therefore, no isolation valves are required to block off the switch for maintenance. The switch "set point" is easily adjustable without changing any process piping and the result is a more reliable and easier way to maintain level system.

The Models FIM-22 and FIM-41 are portable field strength meters designed to provide precise, direct measurements of electro-magnetic fields in the 200 kHz to 5.0 MHz spectrum. These units include a receiver, integral shielded loop antenna, precision attenuator, internal calibration source, and battery power supply. With calibration accuracy traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the FIM-22 and FIM-41 meet the most exacting requirements of government and industry. Their hinged covers, on the rugged drawn aluminum cases, contain a loop antenna. Opening the cover to a vertical position connects the antenna terminals to the receiver via maintenance-free gold-plated contacts. An interlock switch prevents inadvertent battery discharge when the cover is closed.
