These three zone resistance wire wound furnaces are of split construction to facilitate fast and easy loading of a pre-assembled specimen train. The case is constructed from stainless steel with aluminium and hardened insulation board end plates. The optional front cut-out allows the use of side-entry high-temperature extensometry. Adjustable stainless steel latches keep the furnace halves locked together during use, but are then easily opened once testing is complete. The furnace is available with optional heavy duty brackets or mountings, which attach to a wide range of testing systems. The 105/106 Series Event Detectors are the most versatile Event Detectors in the product line. These Event Detectors monitor the electrical resistance of up to 128 simple continuity loops, each comprised of single or multiple specimens under test. Each test specimen is continuously monitored while a selectable DC sense current is passed through each channel test-loop; resistance changes exceeding the selected threshold are recorded as an event. Minimum Event Duration, Channel Current, and Threshold Voltage settings can all be independently configured. 105 and 106 Series instruments are electrically identical, with the difference simply that the 105 offers four, 32-channel board slots and the 106 offers only one. Thus the 128-105 is equivalent to four 32-106 Event Detectors.

The specimen is placed in test chamber specimen which cannot be placed in high temperature chamber or low temperature chamber. High temperature chamber pre-heats the air and low temperature air chamber pre-cools the air. When doing the test of temperature changing from high to low, the low temperature chamber will blow the pre-cooled air to the test chamber. Then, the air in test chamber will reach your target temperature in several minutes (“recover time”). When doing the test of temperature changing from low to high, the high temperature chamber will blow the pre-heated air to the test chamber. Then the air in test chamber will reach your target temperature within the recover time.
