Stacks built with punched laminations can have a lot of quality issues. Even though the lamination material is tested in sheet format before any process, that alone is not sufficient to guarantee good quality stators. Wear and tear of the punch, bad welding, bad insulating coating in annealing add to the magnetic losses in the stator. It is always advisable to test the stator core in it's final format before winding to ensure good quality throughout the production batch.

The 5047 provides breakout of all ECM signals for debug, design validation and development. Plated through holes on the PCB allow soldering of probe wires to IO, Data, Power and Serial Identification signals. LEDs indicate presence of 3V, 5V, +12V, -12V and Ground. Elevates the ECM module by 2 mm and saves wear on the ECM carrier board connectors. Since this is a debug too there is no serial identification circuit.

Automatic Calibration Module

ACM2509 is an automatic calibration module that can be used with all CMT Vector Network Analyzers operating in frequency range up to 9 GHz. It is a fully automatic USB-controlled and powered electronic calibration module. Minimizing the number of steps required by technicians reduces the risk of human error and expedites the calibration process. Automating the calibration routine also reduces wear and tear on the analyzer and RF cables. To perform full two-port calibration, each end of the ACM need only be connected to the analyzer once, as opposed to seven connections with a traditional calibration. The ACM also contains a factory characterized 20dB in-line attenuator which acts as a simulated device under test (DUT). The confidence check feature loads the factory stored DUT into memory so proper calibration can be verified.

The TA-6500 test fixture combines the features of the OEM's Instrument Servo Tester(T307962), the Pointer/Flag Test Fixture(T307951) and the AD-650/600 Test Panel(T334043) all into one panel to facilitate testing of these Attitude Director Indicator's. The panel switches and adjustment pots are labeled to match the test procedure numbers and the duplicity in marking makes it easier for the technician to understand each function. The UUT interface is through a 96 pin zero insertion force(ZIF) type connector to minimize contact wear. The expanded localizer and nav input pins J2-34/35 are exposed on the panel to facilitate the insertion of a 200 ohm shunt when required. A roughness tester is used to quickly and accurately determine the surface texture or surface roughness of a material. A roughness tester shows the measured roughness depth (Rz) as well as the mean roughness value (Ra) in micrometers or microns (µm). Measuring the roughness of a surface involves applying a roughness filter. Different international standards and surface texture or surface finish specifications recommend the use of different roughness filters. For example, a Gaussian filter often is recommended in ISO standards.
