Chamber/Pyroelectric Task
Radiant's Chamber/Pyroelectric Task sets the sample to a series of temperatures by performingGPIB control of an external thermal device. At each temperature it captures the sample’s polarization response and/or small-signalcapacitance. These are combined to calculate the pyroelectric coefficient. The Pyroelectric Task is to be used with a Radiant Test System and a Linkam Stage (-196C to 600C), Thermal Chambers, Hot Chucks, or a Furnace to automatically measure the Pulse Polarization response and Small Signal Capacitance of a Pyroelectric material that is being heated and/or cooled. Radiant's Pyroelectric measurement Task can be added to Vision at additional cost. This measurement suite fully characterizes the pyroelectric charge (polarization) response of the sample under test. With ever decreasing geometries, the way we perform HTOL requires careful consideration. In lower geometry device leakage currents are not only higher but vary greatly. Temperature control at DUT level – required to achieve correct junction temperature at every DUT. For higher geometries, HTOL can be performed in a more traditional way but with devices consuming more power, the ambient temperatures required varies greatly. Multiple temperature zones are required – multi zones system or multiple smaller HTOL systems.

For the measurement of tackiness (instantaneous adhesive strength) of various pastes and adhesive tapes, it is possible to quantitatively evaluate the data, which until now had large errors due to individual differences. First, press the measuring probe, which is controlled (approach speed, pressure force, pressure time, separation speed) against the sample, and measure the adhesive force in the process of separating. Measured data can be processed by a computer. With double temperature control (patented), the sample piece is preheated from the back side with a hot plate and the heated probe penetrates the measurement surface, making it possible to keep the set temperature and the temperature of the test surface to be evaluated constant. Since the pressurization time can be as short as 10msec, it is possible to measure the tackiness caused by momentary contact.
