6000 Series Analog I/O Modules
Series 6000 analog I/O modules condition, amplify, filter and digitize signals from virtually any transducer. All modules have conditioning & amplifier per channel and nearly all modules allow for setting bridge completion, shunt calibration, transducer power, gain, etc. individually per channel. Following the conditioning/amplifier stage, multi-pole Bessel or Butterworth analog filters are provided on each channel and can be set or bypassed individually by program control. A number of the modules include a high level analog output providing a conditioned/filtered output to a redundant, external A/D system. A 16-Bit Successive Approximation A/D follows the analog filter stage. Some modules use a single A/D with sample and hold while others have an A/D per channel. Sample rates are programmable per channel to easily accommodate mixing high and low speed measurements into a single data stream. Programmable hardware based warnings and alarms are included in the channel-by-channel architecture and are detected by digital output modules in the system, providing an ultra-low latency control capability directly from the data acquisition system.

EVISION Obstacle Detector

Obstacle Detector is a distance-measuring system based on ultrasonic sound utilizing the LPC2364FBD100. The system transmits a burst of ultrasonic sound waves towards the subject and then receives the corresponding echo. The LPC2364FBD100 integrated analog comparator is used to detect the arrival of the echo to the system. The time taken for the ultrasonic burst to travel the distance from the system to the subject and back to the system is accurately measured by the LPC2364FBD100. Assuming the speed of sound in air at room temperature to be 1100 ft/s, the LPC2364FBD100 computes the distance between the system and the subject and gives the information to buzzer. The minimum distance that this system can measure is eight inches and is limited by the transmitter’s transducer settling-time. The maximum distance that can be measured is 2 meter. The amplitude of the echo depends on the reflecting material, shape, and size. Sound-absorbing targets such as carpets and reflecting surfaces less than two square feet in area reflect poorly. The maximum measurable range is lower for such subjects. If the amplitude of the echo received by the system is so low that it is not detectable by the Comparator. Bolt Extensometers for Proof Load Testing

The Model 3565 uses hard conical points to contact the bolt at the center of the head and at the bottom. It is fully adjustable for different length bolts ranging from 25 mm (1 inch) in length to 150 mm (6 inches) standard. Extension beams are available for longer bolts. The standard maximum measuring range is 1.25 mm (0.05 inches). Generally, on longer bolts this extensometer will be self-supported without requiring any centering marks or punch marks on the bolt. For shorter bolts these marks may be required. If the conical pins are sharp, marks are often not needed even on the shortest bolts.The extensometer has a zero adjustment screw to adjust the length between the contact pins. This is used to set the output voltage to zero, which corresponds to the correct starting position for the test. It also includes a breakaway lower arm. In the event a bolt should fail, the breakaway arm snaps free, helping to prevent damage to the extensometer. This is easily re-installed. In the event that bolt failures are likely during a test, it is recommended the user attach a cord around the upper part of the beam and tie the other end to the test frame to prevent the extensometer from falling. The conical point contacts included with the extensometer are made from tungsten carbide.The Model 3565 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.

This device consists of a low interwinding capacitance AC transformer and a high stability adjustable linear regulator designed specifically for driving transducer bridges. DC excitation is adjustable from 4 to 15 volts output and is capable of supplying 0 to 150 mA in output current. It features remote sensing to eliminate line drop errors and very low noise. AC DC Current and Voltage Converters
The DAT5023 I is an AC or DC current converter, the input current range is selectable on order from 0-5Amps, 0-10Amps, 0-20Amps, 0-25Amps, 0-30Amps, 0-40Amps, 0-50Amps, 0-60Amps. It measure the current with the use of a Hall effect transducer. There is a coil (current transformer) inside the current converter which is isolated from the current input. The cable passes through the housing of the converter and the coil and the true root mean square measurement is taken from this coil then converted to a standard industrial signal output.
