Interface
RCNIC-A2PA3
Interface
The RCNIC platform is a high performance, 3U CompactPCI module (PMC on carrier card) for the AFDX/ARINC 664 protocol. With two independent ports for traffic monitoring, traffic generation, external triggering and analysis, the RCNIC provides high-resolution time-tagging of incoming packets simultaneously with highly accurate traffic generation. An IRIG-B receiver/generator is included for synchronization to an external IRIG-B time source and for synchronization between multiple RCNIC boards.

Channel Analyzer
WifiMETRIX
-
WifiMETRIX is a new diagnostic tool used to analyze and test Wi-Fi networks. It is a handheld device that operates in stand-alone mode -- that is, it does not associate or connect with an AP. WifiMETRIX implements two important features -- AirHORN and WifiPROBE. The built-in Wi-Fi chip can perform both signal generation / packet injection (AirHORN) and throughput diagnostics (WifiPROBE) on each channel.

Filtering Network TAPs
-
Filtering network TAPs allow you to filter out the packets and traffic that is not needed by the tool to perform its function. Filtering ensures that monitoring ports do not become oversubscribed with unneeded data. Filtering TAPs are purpose-built hardware devices that let you see every bit, byte and packet.®

UDP Test Tool, Flood Generator, VoIP Readiness Test Tool
-
The Multiprotocol Network Tester is a freeware, open source tool which enables you to measure quality of your IP network. It can also be used to generate UDP flood or to simulate UDP DoS attack. SIP call is usually established using a SIP session with a bidirectional RTP stream. SIP and RTP protocols are based on UDP transport protocol. UDP uses a simple transmission model without implicit reliability, ordering and data integrity. Each single UDP packet is transferred independently. The quality of a SIP call depends on delays and loss of IP packets in a network. Long delays lead to large RTP jitter and bad sound quality of a SIP call.

Network Packet Brokers
NPB
-
A Network Packet Broker (NPB) is a device that optimizes the flow of traffic between TAP and SPAN connections and network monitoring, security and acceleration tools. By maintaining a many-to-many (M:M) port mapping of network ports to monitoring ports, they can direct network traffic efficiently, and filters can be applied to optimize bandwidth usage on the network. This also means that the performance of out-of-band tools increases as they receive only actionable data.

Channel Load Generator
802.11p
-
Qosmotec Software Solutions GmbH
When many cars are equipped with 802.11p communication technology, high traffic density will also cause significant load on the radio channel. From normal wireless communication systems it is a known problem, that many users can cause a complete breakdown of the network. Car-to-X communication technology tries to protect itself against those kind of breakdown by a carrier sensing mechanism: Each communication device has to check first, if the radio channel is busy. In that case, it waits for a random delay to avoid packet collision on the radio channel, which causes a loss of both collided packets.
