The eBOX800-511-FL is a fanless embedded system with IP67-rated housing and M12 connectors for mission-critical environments. This rugged embedded system is powered by the onboard 7th generation Intel® CoreTM i5-7300U and Celeron® 3965U (formally codename: Kaby Lake) and comes with one 204-pin DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM slot with system memory up to 16GB. The eBOX800-511-FL is designed for enabling to function in harsh environments with power protection, a wide range operating temperature from -30°C to 60°C, operating shock tolerance up to 3G and 9-36V wide range DC input. OTDR measuring devices are used in various ways in fibre optic technology. They enable extensive characterisation of existing fibre optic cabling networks. The use of launch and receive fibres is advantageous when it comes to ensuring precise results evaluations. With bidirectional backscatter measurements with launch and receive fibres, the attenuation values of the first and last plug-in connection can be determined precisely by averaging and device dead zones can be avoided. Measuring device manufacturers recommend different lengths of launch and receives fibres to avoid “phantom reflections”. These launch and receive fibres are also subject to measuring equipment monitoring and should regularly undergo revision in accordance with the OTDR measuring devices. A good measurement result depends on the state and quality of the measuring equipment used. Diamond offers various types of launch and receive fibres, one with standard telecommunications connectors and the other with an outdoor connector for harsh environments.

Transcat stocks the decade boxes for your precision measurement applications. Using a series of resistors, capacitors or inductors, a decade box simulates electrical values. Switches are arranged in decades (sections of 10) where values from 0-9 are selected. Configured boxes can be substituted into a circuit as a component to determine the appropriate value for circuit operation. They can also be connected to input devices for testing. After connection to the decade box, a device should display a reading corresponding to the previously set box value.
