Built for high intensity applications the NEW OAI Model 308T UV Light Meter is a dependable, direct-reading instrument designed for measuring UV light intensity for UV curing. The Model 308T features detachable probes for use in the UVA, UVB and UVC ranges, plus a high speed serial port. Accuracy of the meter is within ±3%and measurement repeatability is within ±3 LSB (least significant bit). Like all OAI precision instruments, the Model 308T provides NIST traceable measurements. This easy-to-use meter is auto-ranging from 0.1 to 1999.9 milliwatts/cm2 full scale when used with the 2000 milliwatts/ cm2 probe. The linearity of the meter in this range is at least ±(.002% + 6 LSB).

It uses the proven UV fluorescence principle, and is designed to allow ultra-sensitive SO2 measurements while still meeting the requirements for use as a US EPA compliance analyzer.The analyzer uses both the light and dark phases of the pulsed UV light source to continuously detect and correct for electronic noise, giving exceptionally stable and sensitive performance. A separate UV detector allows the instrument to continuously correct for variations in lamp intensity. Exceptional stability is achieved with the use of an optical shutter to compensate for PMT drift, and a reference detector to correct for changes in UV lamp intensity. The RsP-590 Pyroelectric Probe requires no cooling and maintains ±1% accuracy from 1 µW to 100 mW. The ECPR uses an auto-nulling, electrical substitution technique that allows the instrument to be referenced against NIST electrical standards, insuring maximum accuracy and precision. Unlike most electrically calibrated radiometers, there is a direct correlation between electrical and optical heating because the same material serves as both the optical absorber and electrical heating element.
