New IEC standards, IEC 60034-18-41 and IEC 60034-18-42, have been issued to define the procedures for testing partial discharge inception voltage and the long-term performance (endurance) of Type I and Type II insulation systems used in rotating machines fed from voltage converters. Voltage impulse generators are required at least to test turn insulation, but they would be recommended for any testing under power electronics supply because of their capability to simulate the real electrical stress conditions. More generally, any type of electrical insulation system when subject to impulsive voltage waveform during life should be carefully evaluated in terms of partial discharge and endurance behaviour. This is why voltage impulse generators able to provide impulses with controlled amplitude and frequency are needed to face this new testing challenge.

Identical to the galvo-resonant scanner used in our Bergamo® II multiphoton microscopes and complete Cerna®-based confocal systems, the 8 kHz resonant frequency of the resonant scan mirror enables much higher-speed scans than a galvo-galvo system. The constant pressure device enables the stable supply of materials to the stuffing machine by keeping constant the pressure to the materials in the pipe fed from the pump to the stuffing machine side by air pressure. When the materials being fed from the pump, the surplus materials unnecessary to be stuffed shall be sent into the constant pressure cylinder. And when the constant pressure cylinder is full, the supply from the pump shall be stopped and then the materials in the cylinder shall be discharged into the pipe by constant pressure. Accordingly, it is unnecessary to synchronize the stuffing speed with the pump speed by every product. Also, the pressure shortagegenerated when the pump motor starts and the effect of pressure fluctuation in the pipe due to the changes of the speeds of the pump motor and stuffing machine can be minimized so that it is possible to supply stably the materials to plural stuffing machines.
