Mustang has developed a low-cost, simple to use, easy-to-install heavy duty chassis dynamometer that can be used to simulate real-world driving conditions in a safe, controlled environment and can also be used for “static” diesel smog testing for regulatory purposes. This model is used in Diesel Smog Programs in Nevada and Colorado when combined with an approved opacity meter. The MD-250-M is a compact dynamometer with industry proven design features including 10.7-inch rollers, heavy duty spherical pillow-block ball bearings, welded structural steel frame, 7.5 hp calibration motor, and an industry standard air-cooled, Eddy Current Power Absorption Unit (PAU) for road-load simulation.
