The FW1 provides IEEE 1394 (Firewire) high-speed serial communications. The module is provided with a direct PCIe interface to the local (on-board) processor, or, an external host processor for board platforms that support external PCIe connectivity. These module(s) are not supported with the classic memory register-based NAIBrd Software Support Kit (SSK) API libraries. These communication function modules support device control and management via standard native OS (Linux) FireWire device driver.

The 68PW1 is a 3U OpenVPX SOSA™-aligned (basis, Snapshot 2) single-axis PWM servo motor drive that can be configured with closed loop feedback measurement options including Hall, Resolver/Synchro or Encoder. The PWM drive provides programmable PWM output drive (up to 65 V @ 10 A continuous) from a single +28 VDC input source. The DT4 module (the enhanced version) features 24 programmable channels for either input (voltage or contact sensing with programmable, on-module pull-up/pull down current sources), or output (current source, sink, or push-pull) up to 500 mA per channel from an applied, external 3 – 60 VCC source. These modules can sense broken input connections and whether an input is shorted to +VCC or to ground. Additional features of the DT4 (Enhanced Version) are listed below.

The A/D converters have programmable sample rates of up to 500 kHz / Aggregate per bank of 8 Channels.
