Synchros are transformer-type voltage/current transducers that convert a shaft or other rotating device's angular position and/or velocity to a multi-wire AC electrical signal. Both deliver signals proportional to the Sine and/or Cosine of the shaft angle. A Digital-to-Synchro simulator is used to convert digital angle/velocity commands to corresponding Synchro/Resolver AC signals.

This COTS unit provides a single full-power output at a baseplate temperature of +85° C.Standard features include remote error sensing; remote digital (TTL) turn on/off; and protection against transients, overvoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuits. Options such as ESS vibration testing and choice of output voltages are available, and additional options and special units can be ordered.

Enhanced 16 Discrete/Switch I/O Channels (±80 V, 625 mA/Ch.)

The DT5 module (the enhanced version) features 16 independent, isolated, programmable channels that can be used for input voltage measurements (±80 V), or as a bi-directional current switch (up to 500 mA per channel). When programmed as a switch with the switch closed, both the current through the switch and the voltage across the switch can be monitored. These modules include diode clamping on each channel. Clamping is useful for inductive loads, such as relays and short circuit protection. Additional features of the DT5 (Enhanced Version) are listed below.
