M2T Transmitter
The M2T half-rack transmitter houses two stereo transmitters to provide two stereo audio channels, and for up to four mono audio channels in a single rack space. The audio inputs can be individually configured to be analog or Dante compatible. The analog input connectors are full-size XLR/TRS combo types for balanced line-level analog signals while the input preamp circuits use a special balanced amplifier with very high common mode rejection to minimize hum and noise. A Dante™ Ultimo™ interface via dual RJ45 connectors accepts Dante networked audio inputs and can daisy chain the digital stream to additional units via CAT6 cables. An additional RJ45 jack provides an Ethernet connection for programming and control via Wireless Designer™ software and a USB jack on the front panel allows for firmware updates. The transmitter features a full color, backlit LCD for high visibility in any environment, while the chassis is all-metal and can be racked singly or in pairs using included rack mount hardware.

The input section features the unique servo bias input circuitry with a standard TA5M type jack for use with electret lavaliere mics, dynamic mics, or line level signals. A DSP-controlled analog audio limiter is employed before the A-D converter. The limiter has a range of more than 30 dB for excellent overload protection and a dual release envelope that makes the limiter acoustically transparent while maintaining low distortion. The limiter recovers quickly from brief transients, with no audible side effects, and also recovers slowly from sustained high levels to keep audio distortion low while preserving short term dynamics.

A unique and very useful design, the PCA900 antenna provides wide bandwidth from 825 MHz to 1 GHz, moderate gain of 3.7 dB and a semi-directional polar pattern in a compact, rugged package. The ALP690 is a high-performance LPDA (log periodic dipole array) antenna with a bypassable, built-in RF amplifier for use with wireless microphone receivers in location or studio production. The design delivers +4 dBd of passive gain in a directional pattern to extend operating range, and, when DC power is applied, the amplifier applies gain to overcome loss in long coaxial cable runs. By offering both active and passive operation modes, the ALP690 can be used as a receiver antenna (active or passive) and as a transmitter antenna (passive only).

Digital Belt-Pack Transmitter

The DBu transmitter is a 4th generation design with specially developed, high-efficiency digital circuitry for extended operating time on two AA batteries. The transmitter can tune in coarse or fine steps across the UHF television band from 470 to 608 MHz (470-614 MHz for export versions), with a selectable output power of 25 or 50 mW. The pure digital architecture enables AES 256-CTR encryption for high-level security applications.
