Precision Multirange Current Transformer

The P-5000 transformer is a laboratory standard. The unit’s excellent accuracy and the Knopp One-to-One calibrating feature make this precision transformer well-suited as a standard for calibration work. This transformer can provide a very accurate determination of the ratio and phase angle characteristics of current instrument transformers having ratios from 5 to 5,000 amperes. This transformer also can accurately extend the range of a 5 ampere ammeter or wattmeter to cover all current values up to 5,000 amperes.

With safety always being a concern while working with electrical boxes, you can depend on TESCO’s Test Switch Protectors (Catalog No. 6441 & 6441-C) to alleviate any uncertainty. This was developed to provide temporary protection of the test switch and to address the rising concern that the terminals of the test switch are exposed while you’re working in the box. The switch protector can prevent incidental contact with live terminals or contact with tools. TESCO’s Test Switch Protectors are constructed of clear, flexible PVC with a voltage rating of 2500V. The switch protector will fit any brand of test switch, regardless of manufacturer, from 4 to 10-pole. TESCO can also develop custom designs of this product to meet unusual test switch configurations.

TESCO Meter Farms are designed to serve as a cost effective method for testing communication, functionality and firmware upgrades from your meter manufacturer(s). The Meter Farm can be used as part of the qualification process prior to deployment, but has been more popular as a post deployment tool to allow large scale testing of all new releases of firmware over hundreds or even thousands of meter points prior to upgrading the entire system. The Meter Farm can also be used to perform long term testing for new hardware releases prior to introducing later generation meters into the field. The Type 2J6 Knopp Uniload Voltage Transformer Test Set consists of three major parts: When the Knopp Precision Transformer in the 2J6 set is compensated for, and used with, a secondary burden of 15 volt-amperes, for example, the ratio of this precision transformer is well within 0.02% and the phase angle is well within 2 minutes.
