The input impedance is 75 ohms with a signal level of 1 VPPper RS-343A with sync on green. The output characteristic being 1 VPP into 75 ohms per RS-343A which can drive a minimum of 110 feet of cable.The PCI900 receives only power from the PCIe bus and has no other connection to the PCIe bus.

The module is equipped with four (4)12G-SDI-capable output ports. The output ports can be aggregated for Dual link HD-SDI and Quad link 3G-SDI operation. A genlock input supporting both SD analog black burst and HD tri-level to sync the output clocks with a "house sync" but the module can also run off its internal clock. It employs two power supply units for redundant operation to protect against power supply failures.
