The Arduino Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 15 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started. ADLINK"s PCI-7296/7248/7224 are high-density parallel digital I/O boards with 96/48/24 I/O channels. The header connectors are fully compatible with industry Opto-22 standard. Thus, PCI-7296/48/24 can utilize the Opto-22 external devices. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 devices emulate mode 0 of the industry standard 8255 programmable peripheral interface (PPI) chips. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 provides 4/2/1 PPI chips respectively. Each PPI offers three 8-bit ports: Port A, Port B and Port C. The Port C is divided into 2 nibble-wide (4-bit) ports. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 devices have programmable timer/counters. One 16-bit counter is available for event counting, while the other 32-bit timer is available for timed interrupt generation. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 devices provide multiple programmable interrupt sources from DIO channels, as well as the output of the timer.

The 104i-COM-8SM (PCI-104) family of multi-port, multi-protocol (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485), serial communication boards deliver up to eight high-speed serial communication ports for use in a wide variety of applications. The boards were developed for use by system integrators and manufacturers in the design of industrial and commercial systems. Based on the XR17D158, the boards have eight enhanced 16550 UARTs, each with a set of modem signals (CTS, RTS, RI, DTR, DSR, CD) in RS-232 mode. Each UART has both a 64 byte transmit and a 64 byte receive FIFO. Ports are accessed via two 40-pin IDC type right angle header connectors. 2 and 4-port versions are available, as well as RS-232 only models.

32 Channel Optically Isolated Digital Card
104-IDIO-16 Family
The Model 104-IDIO-16 is a 32-channel PC/104 utility board featuring 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 optically isolated solid state outputs. The isolated, non polarized inputs may be driven by either DC sources of 3-31V (or higher by special order) or AC sources at frequencies of 40Hz to 10KHz. Optically isolating the digital inputs from each other, and from the computer, assures smooth, error-free data transmission in noisy, real-world environments. The 16 input channels are available via a 34-pin IDC type header. The fully protected solid state outputs, capable of sourcing 2A each, are inherently more reliable than electromechanical relays and give system architects a more robust product to design with. The solid state outputs are available via a 50 pin IDC type header.
