Modern driver assistance systems must recognize increasingly complex traffic scenarios and convert them into appropriate vehicle reactions with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and specific algorithms. Imaging radar sensors with a higher spatial resolution, so-called imaging radar sensors, are therefore required. These can better distinguish larger from smaller objects and, due to the larger antenna apertures, also require larger dimensions of the test environment or larger far-field distances. A typical emi emission test is performed using broadband EMC antennas such as biconical, log periodics, Combilogs and horns. These antennas usually placed at 1, 3 or 10 meter distance as required by the test specification. These is considered far field measurements and the emission limits are given for the specific distance by the specification. During EMI compliance measurements, the emissions levels from products are compared with these limits. If the product exceeds these limits it is considered failing. The IS1.5-VIS-FPD-800 & IS1.5-IRG-FPD-800 contain 2 photodiodes: a calibrated photodiode for precise power measurement using Ophir meters and a fast photodiode with integral reverse bias circuit for temporal characterization using third-party instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
