6000 Series Analog I/O Modules
Series 6000 analog I/O modules condition, amplify, filter and digitize signals from virtually any transducer. All modules have conditioning & amplifier per channel and nearly all modules allow for setting bridge completion, shunt calibration, transducer power, gain, etc. individually per channel. Following the conditioning/amplifier stage, multi-pole Bessel or Butterworth analog filters are provided on each channel and can be set or bypassed individually by program control. A number of the modules include a high level analog output providing a conditioned/filtered output to a redundant, external A/D system. A 16-Bit Successive Approximation A/D follows the analog filter stage. Some modules use a single A/D with sample and hold while others have an A/D per channel. Sample rates are programmable per channel to easily accommodate mixing high and low speed measurements into a single data stream. Programmable hardware based warnings and alarms are included in the channel-by-channel architecture and are detected by digital output modules in the system, providing an ultra-low latency control capability directly from the data acquisition system.

Filtered Analog Input Expansion Board
MSXB 048
The MSXB 048 Filtered Analog Input Expansion Board has a four-pole low-pass Butterworth filter on each of its 16 single-ended channels. For DAP applications that require analog filters to take out all above-Nyquist frequencies before signal conversion, it simply replaces the MSXB 037 Analog Input Expansion board. Signal inputs normally connect to the MSXB 048 through a panel-mount DB-37 connector.

Real Time Digital Filters
Real Time Digital Filters can be used to filter a measured signal in real time. Filter characteristics can be defined by the user to meet the requirements of a specific application. Real-time digital filters are applied in the data conditioning phase. The filters are designed with a graphic design tool and then uploaded to the front-end for real-time calculation. The graphic design tool defines the filter performance vertical axis with a dB scale. The horizontal axis is defined as relative frequency.

High-Power Tunable Filter
CB503
The need for tunable filter technology originates from the fact that high power communication systems and IED Jammer transmitters severely limit the use of tactical radio communication systems on the battlefield. This clash within the radio’s spectrum during tactical missions is often de-conflicted using fixed high Q, high power RF bandpass and bandstop filters installed prior to mission. This can limit operational effectiveness due to the potentially large number of fixed filters required within the allocated radio communication channels, which need be transported, stored in the field, and fitted by trained personnel. Many of these fixed filters centred within the octave wide tuning range could be replaced by a single high-Q tunable filter.
