This is a PXI signal insertion and monitor matrix with switched pass thru connections on both X and Y axis. It is also availablein a 16x4 format and can be used for signal insertion and monitoring purposes on connections between the UUT and test system. Each pass thru connection from LX to X can be open or closed to allow the programmatic disconnection of the signal to check the response of the UUT. The matrix can be used to connect test equipment, such as a DMM or scope, to monitor the pass thru signals via Y connections while the LY connections can be used to insert a fault condition or insert external signals. When external signals are injected the LX connections can be opened and the LY connections closed.

Channels that are sampled and held use a common sample and hold pulse that samples while high and holds while low. Jumpers on each S&H chip allow buffering of analog signals where sample and holds are not required. An advantage to the buffers is that it provides a high input impedance for high impedance voltage dividers.

Furnished with TNC female connectors all ports. A special feature of this unit is the 200 ohm internal load which provides a current drain for the GPS receiver not powering the active antenna. Some GPS receivers incorrectly sense an antenna fault when there is no current draw. The 200 ohm internal load provides a simulated antenna current drain which prevents receiver faulting. Max voltage rating at the DC blocked ports is 15 VDC; maximum current rating is 75 mA. Max voltage rating at the DC pass port is 50 VDC; max current rating is 2000 mA.
