In order to make the most out of this feature, DV-Win software is included which can be programmed to do everything automatically – running winding resistance tests and changing OLTC tap positions.The DV-Win software also enables control and observation of the test process, as well as saving and analyzing the results on a PC. It provides a test report, arranged in a selectable form as an Excel spreadsheet, PDF, Word, or ASCII format. Additionally, DV-Win measures and calculates the OLTC transition time, the ripple and the winding resistance for each tap changing operation. The CRMS is a system designed to allow any user to measure the resistance of each set of relay contacts associated with the relay under test. High Resistance Neutral Grounding Devices

HRG systems limit the fault current by placing high resistance between neutral point of transformer (or generator) and ground. As it is not possible to locate the fault point in delta connected systems, an artificial neutral point is created and delta connected system can be grounded. This allows a fault current of a few amperes thus locating the fault point gets easy. When the neutral point is grounded thru high resistance, both continuity of operation is provided during fault condition and sufficient current (typically between 2 A and 10 A) flow is provided for ease of locating the fault point.
