The Edgetech Instruments Model SENTRY detects upset conditions in compressed air systems by constantly monitoring dew point and pressure at the system header or dryer output. The SENTRY alarms when a loss in pressure or high dew point is detected. This information is valuable in detecting compressor failures, system leaks, or drops in dryer performance. A pulsing audible alarm and strobe lamp provide quick notification of upset conditions. The SENTRY also provides a local display of pressure, dew point and system status as well as 4-20mA analog output and alarm relay contacts.

DVS Resolution’s key feature is the combined ability to precisely control and measure temperature and relative humidity while recording the highest resolution changes in mass. DVS Resolution uses a dry carrier gas typically nitrogen or compressed air for its operation. Digital mass flow controllers regulate flows of dry and saturated gases. Relative humidity is generated by precisely mixing dry and saturated gas flows in desired flow ratios which produce expected relative humidity. In a typical experiment a known concentration of water vapor is delivered over a sample placed inside the sample pan connected to the Surface Measurement Systems Ultrabalance™ measuring realtime mass changes caused by sorption or desorption of water molecules. Prior to sorption measurements, the sample can be in-situ preheated/dried at temperatures of up to 300oC.

Air Amplifiers

Nex Flow® Air amplifiers are compact, low cost air flow “movers” that are virtually maintenance free. Applications include the venting of fumes and smoke, conveying of low weight materials, and entraining a high volume of air to cool, blow off, and dry. Air Amplfiiers use the “Coanda effect” to draw in the surrounding atmosphereic air while consuming only aminimal amount of compressed air. These products can amplify airflow up to 17 times (depending on the size) resulting in dramatcally reduced levels of noise. Air Amplifiers (also called Air Movers) draw in atmospheric air from the back of the unit as well as having downstream entrainment further amplifying the flow. They are used for cooling and venting. While the force produced for blow off decreases as the amplifier outlet diameter increases, these Air Movers are ideal for cooling because of the high velocity outlet fow and and are much more effective for cooling compaed to air nozzles.
