Thorlabs offers an extensive selection of instruments that measure the properties of light. Our versatile power and energy meters can be used with over 25 different sensors in order to make NIST-traceable power and energy measurements. If the convenience of a meter is not desired, our selection of detectors includes basic photodiodes (uncalibrated and calibrated), photodetectors (biased, amplified, and avalanche), CCD and CMOS arrays, position detectors, integrating spheres, and photomultiplier tubes. The Beam Characterization category contains beam profilers (camera and scanning slit), a wavefront sensor, spectrometers, and interferometers, while the Polarimetery link leads to a selection of instruments used to measure and control the polarization of light.

Our automated scanning system is based on smart 3D cameras SICK Ruler E 600. Information about the wheel profile from the camera via a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet interface is sent to a dedicated computer for processing, detecting and recognizing the alphanumeric sequence applied to a specific section of the wheel. Synchronization with the rotation system is carried out by means of a high-precision encoder, with the conveyor system - via the Profibus DP interface. The complex is designed to scan wheels of various standard sizes and allows with a high resolution (tenths of a millimeter), without readjustment, to read numbers from wheels at a radius of 100 to 600 mm in 45 seconds.

The LV 5381 is a waveform monitor that can monitor up to four SDI signals simultaneously.It is optimized for the level adjustment of the outputs of multiple installed cameras. In the video signal waveform display, vector display, and picture display, multiple input signals can be displayed on top of each other or lined up next to each other.It is also full of useful features such as a level meter display for embedded audio, an error display that indicates transmission errors, and a 5-bar display that shows video signal peak levels using five bars. Furthermore, the LV 5381 can show different combinations of these displays in its multi-screen display.
