The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). Careful attention to the design of the module ensures that the switching system minimizes its impact on the transmission distance of USB1.1 interfaces. The MUX is available in 36:1 or 18:1 formats and enables a single source of serial data to be switched to one of 36 or 18 devices under test. This allows the data source to load information to, or receive information from, the device under test. The 36:1 version can be software configured into two independent 18 way MUXs enabling two separate sources of serial data to be connected to separate banks of 18 devices. The module is ideal for performing bulk testing of any device that relies on a serial data communications port to load software or control the device operation. VF-145 LA AND VF-145 LMA
The VF-145 LA and LMA models are functionally the same as the VF-145 L and LM on both electrical performance and mechanical specifications. However, the LA and LMA models include an internal PIN diode attenuator that provides up to 12 dB of attenuation (measured at 150 MHz, attenuation decrease slightly as operating frequency increases) to the incoming radio signal. This attenuation occurs after the signal is received by the unit and phase shifted for processing, but before it is placed on the coax feedline to the receiver. In addition, the PIN diode utilized will absorb short burst of RF should transceivers be keyed accidentally by the user. This feature aids in very strong signal DF operations but will not totally guarantee against system overload under very strong RF emissions.

Dual Polarized Antennas
Dual polarized horn antennas are offered as both standard and custom models with rectangular waveguide interfaces for both horizontal and vertical ports. These dual polarized horn antennas support both linear and elliptical polarized waveforms. When the antenna receives a circular polarized waveform, equal amplitude linear polarized waveforms are output at both horizontal and vertical ports. When two equal amplitude linear polarized waveforms are input into the vertical and horizontal ports, the antenna will transmit a circular polarized waveform. The listed models offer 15 dB nominal gain and 33/28 degrees typical half power beamwidth at the center frequency of the band. They also exhibit 40 dB typical port isolation and 35 dB nominal cross polarization. These antennas cover full waveguide bandwidths within the frequency range of 8.2 to 110 GHz. In addition to the models listed below, models with 10, 20, 23 and 25 dB gain and other frequency bands are also available.
