The Keysight 8474C is a high-performance detector using a gallium arsenide, planar-doped barrier detecting element. It features extremely flat frequency response over its entire band of operation and very good frequency response stability versus temperature. The Keysight 8474C is also very rugged with high resistance to ESD damage. The Keysight 8474C detector is available with a 3.5-mm (mates with SMA, 0.01 to 33 GHz) connector. This detector offers the options for optimal sqaure-law loads (Option 102) and for positive polarity output (option 103). Because the unit-to-unit frequency response tracking of this device is typically better than 0.3 dB, no matched response option is offered.

Our waveguide detectors cover a broad frequency range of 26.5 GHz to 110 GHz and are available with waveguide sizes ranging from WR-28 to WR-10. The video output ports utilize SMA female connectors. These high performance zero-biased waveguide detectors exhibit excellent performance in Ka, Q, U, V, E and W frequency bands. These types of waveguide detectors are commonly used in various aerospace, defense and commercial wireless applications used in instrumentation, power detection, power monitoring, direct detection receivers, high frequency communications, radar, SATCOM, point-to-point radio, telecom, data links and R&D. The detector circuits use high performance GaAs Schottky Barrier Beam lead diodes with extremely low junction capacitance. These waveguide detector designs perform with minimal sensitivity variation resulting in a flat frequency response across the entire waveguide band. All of the waveguide detectors are in-stock and ready to ship.

This device has low impedance mismatch, high bandwidth, wide dynamic range and is capable of rapid state change. The QPA8 can be an attractive alternative to either the manually operated microwave attenuator switches, which are expensive and are switched very slowly, or the relay attenuators which are expensive and wear out quickly. Attenuation is controlled in standard steps of 0.0625 dB. The 10 bit programmable range results in the full 210=1024 steps yielding a dynamic range of 0 to 63.9375dB. The NI‑5791 provides continuous frequency coverage from 200 MHz to 4.4 GHz. It features a single-stage, direct conversion architecture that provides high bandwidth in the small form factor of a FlexRIO adapter module. The onboard synthesizer, which is the local oscillator (LO), sets the center frequency for acquisition and generation, and you can export it to other modules for multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) synchronization. You can also import the LO from an external connector, enabling synchronization of up to eight NI‑5791 modules. For higher frequencies or a greater number of devices, you can use an external LO distribution amplifier.
