The BCD Series of BCD to Binary Converters will convert 4 digits of scaled BCD angle data with a full scale of 359.9degrees into 12 Bits of binary angle data (MSB=180degrees). These units are entirely digital, require no timing or control signals and do this conversion in less than 500 nano-seconds. Logic levels are TTL/DTL compatable and +5V DC power is required. They are packaged in a 2.6 x 3.1 x .82" H PC board mounting module.

Pulsed X-ray technology
Golden Engineering X-ray generators are based on Pulsed X-ray technology. Pulsed X-rays generate a high intensity X-ray burst (pulse) in a very short period of time (10 to 50 nanoseconds depending on the model). The output dose of each pulse is 3-6 mR measured 12 inches from the front of the X-ray generator. The operator varies the overall dose of each exposure by changing the pulse setting. The pulse rate varies from 10 pulses per second to 25 pulses per second depending on the model. The generators can fire up to 200 pulses before a four-minute rest period.

The MINI-MAX, Ultrasonic Bolt Tension Monitor, defines the state of the art in the measurement of the actual elongation produced by tightening a threaded fastener. The MINI-MAX can measure the elongation very accurately in fasteners of virtually any material from 1/2 inch to 4 feet in length. The measurement is achieved by determining the change in the transit time, of an ultrasonic shock wave along the length of the fastener as the fastener is tightened by any method. The on-board microcomputer automatically interprets this time measurement to display the time(nanoseconds), elongation, load, stress, or %strain from stretching a fastener. Through the use of high speed digital signal processing and automated diagnostics, the MINI-MAX minimizes the requirement for extensive operator training. With built in data recordation and reporting through an RS232 interface, the MNI-MAX offers an easy to use and reliable solution to the most difficult bolting problem.
