RoomScope
-
RoomScope turns your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch into a room acoustics measurement and analysis tool. With RoomScope, you can measure a room impulse response and then calculate reverberation time, early decay time, clarity, and definition, as defined in the ISO 3382 standard. RoomScope also allows you to adjust the Schroeder decay curve integration limits with the touch of your finger and plot the calculated room parameters versus whole or 1/3-octave band center frequency.

Vivarium Rooms
-
Darwin Chambers Company ALAAC, OLAW, USDA, and NIH-compliant Vivarium Rooms are designed for maximum value, sustainability, and conformance with applicable standards. We have over a decade of experience in working with researchers to provide humane and often precise conditions to meet their unique and specific needs. Vivariums are commonly defined as a place, such as a in laboratory, where live animals and/or plants are kept under conditions simulating a natural environment. Often, these contain both plants and animals, within a micro-ecosystem, often with controlled stability or controlled change of environmental variables. We offer various surface finishes, including all stainless steel, which are easy to maintain and may be sterilized to cleanroom standards. Compartmentalized enlosures are offered, which are modular and reconfigurable. Our rooms will accommodate plants as needed (we also provide plant growth chambers), and we offer control of humidification in conformance with current ALAAC mandates, sufficient air exchanges, available HEPA filtration of intake and/or exhaust air, standard screened equipment hous- ings, and other such considerations.

Physiology / Altitude Testing Rooms
-
Darwin Chambers Company has teamed up with Colorado Altitude Training (CAT), located in Boulder, Colorado, to offer a unique chamber for altitude simulation. CAT advances altitude simulation technology by maintaining the largest research and development division in the industry. CAT has invested heavily in technology and research to maximize comfort.A CAT system can reduce the oxygen content from 20.9% to 15.2% to simulate 9,000 feet at sea level, while keeping the pressure unchanged. Whether at real altitude, in a hypobaric chamber, or in an environmental room/CAT system, the amount of inspired oxygen and physiological effects are the same.

mage quality. Speed. Uptime. They’re all crucial. Getting all three at the same time in a nondestructive testing (NDT) solution for package inspection is the challenge. It takes continuous innovation, advancing the state of the art to keep pace with the semiconductor industry’s own exponential progress.Sonix has been the innovation leader since 1986. Today, the ECHO line of scanning acoustic microscopes sets the standard for package inspection speed and image quality, to help you keep pace with new packaging materials and difficult form factors. The ECHO platform will remain at the forefront as we continue to add features and enhance performance for years to come.

Directional Acoustic Transponder (DAT)
-
The Benthos Directional Acoustic Transponder (DAT) is anextension to the Teledyne Benthos ATM-900 Series modem, which automatically estimates the azimuthal and vertical arrival angles of a message sent by a remote modem. The system is a modified ultra-short baseline (USBL) which uses a broadband component of a typical modem message to form estimates of arrival angle(s). While conventional USBL devices employ tonal signals, our appropriate processing of wide band signals provides far better combined range and arrival angle estimation, especially at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Our device offers a clear 360 degree field of view in azimuth, and an approximate vertical coverage spanning + 90º overhead to -50º below horizontal.

Room Temperature Sample Holders
12962A
-
The 12962A sample holder is designed to allow accurate impedance tests of solid materials to be performed at room temperature. The sample holder consists of two parallel electrodes, one of which is fixed in position and the other which can be moved into contact with the sample by adjustment of a micrometer. The sample holder makes use of guard ring and reference techniques in order to improve accuracy by reducing “fringing” effects at the edge of the sample. The standard electrode provided is 20mm diameter.

Acoustic Emission Sensors
-
Acoustic wave (acoustic emission) sensors are the ceramic piezoelectric transducers converting the mechanical elastic acoustic waves generated in the material (e.g. elastic waves occur when a material cracks, wears, deforms, or corrodes) to electrical signals. The electrical signals are then amplified and filtered by a preamplifier and then transmitted to a special acoustic emission acquisition instrument for further data processing and analysis.
