The NI‑9881 is a high-speed CANopen interface for developing CANopen applications in LabVIEW software on CompactRIO hardware. CANopen is the application layer that sits on top of the CAN physical layer often used for industrial automation … applications. It was designed for motion-oriented machine control networks, such as handling systems, but now it is used in a variety of applications, including medical equipment, off-road vehicles, maritime electronics, public transportation, and building automation. The NI‑9881 can transmit/receive process data objects (PDOs) and service data objects (SDOs) according to CiA‑DS 301. The NI‑9881 is compatible with only CompactRIO systems.

The IIB-1553-VXI-4C is an intelligent interface card which provides 4 independent channels for full MIL-STD-1553 test, simulation and bus analysis functions on the VXI bus. All 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants are supported. Each independent channel may be operated as a concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with a windowed Bus Monitor (BM), or as a stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) with comprehensive multi-level triggering capability. Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. Each channel provides a variable amplitude dual redundant 1553 interface, with 2 Mbytes of dual ported RAM. The board is supplied with C drivers in source code and Windows menu driven software as standard.

It also includes eight general-purpose digital I/O lines for a variety of applications, such as configuring the address of I2C devices, toggling LEDs, or strobing convert and data ready lines common to analog converter chips. You can physically place the USB‑8452 more closely than PCI interfaces to I2C/SPI devices, which reduces I2C bus length and minimizes noise problems. Additionally, the interface provides +5 V and GND to power circuits with no external power supply.
