This software-designed controller features an FPGA, a real-time processor running the NI Linux Real-Time OS, and embedded user interface capability. You also can use the Mini DisplayPort to add a local human machine interface (HMI) for application development. The cRIO-9031 features an SDHC slot and a variety of connectivity ports, including two tri-speed RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet, two USB host, one USB device, and two RS-232 serial. Additionally, the cRIO-9031 supports an extended temperate range. The EW IFU (Electronic Warfare Interface Unit) interfaces between Cockpit electronics viz., RWR Display Unit (DU), New control Box (NCB), CMDS Control/Display units and Simulator Host Computer (HOST). The EW IFU transmits the status of the cockpit control units to the host, receives display data from the host and transfers the same to RWR DU, NCB and CMDS CCU/CDU. The display data for the RWR DU received from the host would comprise of the complete symbol data in respect of emitters that are to be displayed based on the data from the Instructor Station (IS) and control input from the cockpit. They control the timing, synchronization, and data transfer between a host computer and up to eight (8) C Series I/O modules.
