Gas Composition Independent!The HVG-2020A vacuum gauge from Teledyne Hastings is a media-isolated, gas composition independent, piezoresistive instrument that provides accurate pressure measurement throughout the rough vacuum region.The HVG-2020A is easy to install, and the optional display provides the users with several different views, or modes of operation. The HVG-2020A is very flexible and can provide both analog and digital output to easily integrate into process control. A wide variety of linear analog output signals may be selected. This makes the HVG-2020A an excellent choice to replace more expensive capacitance manometers. Digital output can include RS232 and RS485 via a small jack on the top of the instrument. A USB connection is also available on many models which makes connection and operation very easy. Free Windows data acquisition software for data logging is available for the HVG-2020A.

Pressure/ Vacuum Sensors
There are three different types of pressures that can be measured using Premier Electrosystems' Pressure Sensors: Gauge, Absolute, and Differential. Gauge pressure is the pressure measured relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure.A typical application for a gauge pressure sensor is to measure liquid levels in a vented tank using the difference in hydrostatic pressure and ambient atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure sensors will give the result relative to zero (a perfect vacuum). This is useful in applications where there is a direct effect of altitude on the pressure being measured. Differential pressure sensors measure the difference in pressure between two points. Differential pressure sensors are often used to monitor airflow in HVAC applications.

Thermocouple Vacuum Gauge Tubes for Medium Vacuum

Teledyne Hastings, manufacturer of the original DV-4, DV-5, and DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes, produces vacuum measurement equipment with exceptional stability, accuracy, and reliability under the most demanding conditions.The Teledyne Hastings’ DV-6 series thermocouple vacuum gauge tube acts as a localized sensor which is then paired with a selection of meters or controllers to provide reliable, cost-effective measurements in diverse applications. The robust sensor gauge tube is easily installed into vacuum systems and when properly excited, generates a thermoelectric voltage to provide a vacuum pressure measurement based on gas density. The DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tube fully compensates for temperature and rate of temperature change.Thermocouple gauge tubes are calibrated on vacuum systems that contain N2 or Air, but can be used with other gases. Additionally, thermocouple gauges and their controllers can be recalibrated when a replacement thermocouple gauge tube is installed, following instructions in the manual. However, our DB-20 reference tube is available to confirm meter/controller performance. A complete line of installation accessories are also available to simplify the integration of our thermocouple gauge tubes into a variety of vacuum systems. With a Piezo based sensor and a thermal based Pirani sensor accurately and confidently measure pressures across seven decades. The Piezo sensor is media isolated, gas composition independent, and periodically zeroed by the Pirani sensor. An ambient thermal sensor enables the instrument to adjust for temperature and therefore better accuracy.

Vacuum Quality Monitor Systems
The 835 VQM is a mass spectrometer that operates from UHV to 10-5 Torr and accurately measures the gases in the vacuum chamber. The 835 VQM Differential Pump System delivers the advantages of the 835 VQM at higher pressures. The VQM system consists of an autoresonant ion trap mass spectrometer gauge, a VQM Controller and VQM Viewer software that that converts raw data into actionable information. The system is ratiometric, meaning that it determines the ratio of each gas to other gases in a vacuum chamber. It is usually coupled with a total pressure gauge to provide partial pressures of each gas as indication of the quality of the vacuum in the chamber.
