Core Loss Tester

Core loss testing has become one of the most important tests for quality assurance in the motor industry. The function of a core loss test is to determine weather a motor has damaged core iron. Damage could include shorts between laminations and electrical arching. Although it is possible for a motor to still run with damaged core but the efficiency of that motor will be greatly reduced. The Motor will consume more power to operate at normal levels and it will cause the Motor to generate more heat. Heat will reduce the reliability of the motor and its overall life. Loss of Video Detectors
Program video and audio (balanced or unbalanced) is routed through the SG-8. With program video present at the input to the SG-8, the video and audio outputs of the SG-8 are the program signals. Upon loss of the video portion of the program input, the SG-8 defaults to internal SMPTE Color Bars and 1 kHz tone.

This module supports 4 or 8-channels of two wire serial connections and can be used for simulating faults on Ethernet, AFDX, BroadR-Reach, 100BaseT and 1000BaseT interfaces. Any wire can be set to an open circuit, shorts can be applied across the wire pair, or to the adjacent pair. Fault connections can be made to one of four external signals via two fault buses, typically simulating connections to a supply voltage or ground. Each fault bus is capable of carrying 2A allowing multiple channels to be connected to the same fault condition. Additionally, each fault bus features a changeover relay to allow the user to connect alternative fault conditions to the fault buses.
