Standard Helmholtz Coils
Helmholtz Coils are ideal for the measurement of Rare Earth (Samarium Cobalt, Neodymium) and Hard Ferrite permanent magnet materials (materials which exhibit a relative straight line demagnetization). Our standard Helmholtz Coils are for use with fluxmeters. The Helmholtz Coil measures the magnet sample as a single magnetic moment provided that the longest dimension of the magnet sample is less than one-third (1/3) the diameter of the coil system. By definition, the magnetic moment per unit volume is the intrinsic magnetization of the sample. Standard Optical Interleaver
An innovative technique for expanding the number of channels per fiber involves an optical device, called an optical interleaver. For example, in most DWDM equipment, the standard channel spacing is 100 GHz. But spacing the signal-carrying frequencies every 50 or even 25 GHz can double or even quadruple the number of channels per fiber. This job is accomplished by an optical interleaver. Such a device takes two multiplexed signals with 100-GHz spacing and interleaves them, creating a DWDM signal with channels spaced 50 GHz apart. The process can be repeated, creating even denser composite signals with 25-GHz or 12.5-GHz spacing. The signals at the receiving end are recovered with the same devices used as splitters or optical de-interleavers. Thus, devices and/or networks can be upgraded without requiring that all devices be upgraded, or network bandwidth can be increased.

Disciplined Frequency Standard

The 2975AR contains a rubidium timebase and provide one 10 MHz, one 5 MHz and one Signal Generator output. The Signal Generator uses Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) technology and is programmable from 100Hz to 50 MHz using front panel controls or from an RS232 serial interface. The 2975AR can be disciplined by a 1pps input signal and provides a 1pps output signal. The 1pps input is typically provided by the GPS Frequency output from a device like a smart GPS receiver or antenna.
