Peripheral Port Expander
The Peripheral Port Expander (PPE) is a connection box with 32 banana sockets (4mm) for easy connection to the various analog and digital inputs&outputs that are available in each Ivium potentiostat. The banana sockets are colour coded for easy recognition and include a5 V, max. 100 mA power point. A DB37-data cable connects the PPE to the potentiostat.

Mini-Test Station

Galvanostat and Zero Resistance Ammeter
This instrument offers a Potentiostat, Galvanostat and Zero Resistance Ammeter with integrated Frequency Response Analyser and Sweep Generator in one. It is based around a two Amp Potentiostat teamed with a two Amp Zero Resistance Ammeter and can be supplied as - 6 channel, with six sequential channels, 8 channel (eight sequential channels) or 12 channel (twelve sequential channels). Connection to the controlling Windows PC is via a standard RS232 port, optically isolated for full floating operation. Counter Electrodes
For a system using a three-electrode potentiostat, we measured current when a potential is applied between the working electrode and the reference electrode. Passage of current through an electrical circuit requires electron transfer reaction between the working electrode and the counter electrode.The main function of the counter electrode is to provide the location of the second electron transfer reaction. Important parameter of the counter electrode is the surface area. It is required (area) large enough to support the current generated for the working electrode. For example, the surface area of the platinum electrode of 5 cm is sufficient to use as an electrode, such as steady-state cyclic voltammetry experiments. However, for generating a high current measurements such as bulk electrolysis, the counter electrode of a larger area is required, as Catalog No.012961 which the length of platinum is 23 cm. This electrode is used for measurement, such as rotating ring disk.

Scanning Electrochemical Systems
The VersaSCAN is a single platform capable of providing spatial resolution to both electrochemical and materials-based measurements. Each VersaSCAN is based on a common high-resolution, long-travel, closed-loop positioning system mounted to a vibration-resistant optical base. Different auxiliary pieces are mounted to the positioning system. These ancillary pieces (e.g., an electrometer, piezo vibration unit, or a laser sensor) provide functionality to the positioning system for different scanning probe experiments. VersaSTAT potentiostats and Signal Recovery Lock-in Amplifiers are integrated via ethernet control to make accurate measurements of these small signals.

EchemLab XM includes a reference grade potentiostat and frequency response analyzer (FRA). EchemLab XM has a built-in 100 V high voltage amplifier which can be used for not only for compliance measurements but also for high voltage cell polarization. Housed in a substantial metal case with brushed anodised aluminium front panel and green military specification connectors this equipment looks functional and professional.
