1. Always select the dial test indicator that best fits the application.2. Care should be taken while using a dial test indicator, try not to jolt the indicator, should you be unfortunate and drop a dial test indicator, get it re-calibrated/repaired before reusing it.3. Replace worn contact points only with those of a similar length from the centre of the ball stylus to the abutment shoulder.4. Always clean dial test indicators after use with a lint free paper or cloth and store the indicator in its box or in a dust free area.5. When using a dial test indicator, always position the dial test indicator in a horizontal plane to the surface media.6. Always use a rigid stand for mounting the dial test indicator.7. When measuring a rotating object, either between centres or in a vee block, ensure that the object is rotating in the correct direction. Never rotate the workpiece towards the contact point.8. When measuring a sliding object, only take readings when the object is moving directly towards the contact point, never away from the contact point or in a sideways manner.9. Avoid parallax errors by reading the dial directly from the front and square on to the dial.10. Never oil a dial test indicator as this attracts contamination, should the movement become erratic then the dial test indicator should be submitted to a reputable repair agent.11. Try not to expose dial test indicators to direct sunlight or in a high humidity environment.12. Never use a dial test indicator that has not been calibrated, if in doubt consult an appropriate authority.

Flow indicator with rotor features a self-cleaning mechanism to ensure full visibility of the rotor at all times. Typical sight flow indicators suffer from poor indicator visibility through normal use from build-up that impedes observation of the rotor through the viewing window. Typically, for a sight flow indicator to be cleaned, it must be removed from the pipeline, cleaned and then replaced at some specified time, such as during plant shutdown. Unfortunately, dirt build-up does not typically schedule itself to correspond with planned shutdowns. Enter the KOBOLD DAA Series flow indicator. Simply twist the sight glass and the integral wipers clean the flow indicator's viewing area to allow unobstructed observation of the rotor. The offending contaminants are then simply washed away by the media flow. This process may be repeated as often as desired with no fuss and no downtime. The DAA is available with brass or stainless steel fittings with " to 1" NPT female threads. The DAA is also available without a rotor for observation of fluid condition.

A sound level meter is a measuring instrument used to assess noise or sound levels by measuring sound pressure. Often referred to as a sound pressure level (SPL) meter, decibel (dB) meter, noise meter or noise dosimeter, a sound level meter uses a microphone to capture sound. The sound is then evaluated within the sound level meter and acoustic measurement values are shown on the display of the sound level meter. With a portable sound level meter, industrial hygiene and workplace safety professionals can measure sound levels in multiple locations to ensure environmental conditions fall within recommended exposure limits (RELs). Some sound level meter devices can be permanently installed for continuous monitoring of sound levels at a work or job site.An important attribute to consider when searching for a suitable sound level meter is its type or class. The type or class of a sound level meter defines the device's accuracy as per American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) guidelines. Typically, "type" is the grade according to the ANSI S1.4 standard, whereas "class" is the grade according to the IEC 61672 standard. There are two types or classes assigned to sound level meters: type 1 / class 1 or type 2 / class 2. The PPSQ is an instrument for determining the amino acid sequences of proteins and peptides, which combines an Edman reaction section with a high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC). There are 2 types: the PPSQ-51A, which is equipped with one reactor, and the PPSQ-53A, which is equipped with three reactors. On the PPSQ-53A, the continuous analysis of the amino acid sequences of multiple samples can be performed one after another. In the Edman reaction section, amino acids are cleaved in order from the N-terminal of a protein by repeatedly performing Edman degradation, and are derivatized. As a result, stable PTH-amino acids are produced. The PTH-amino acids are injected online into the HPLC, and analysis is performed. The HPLC data is saved on the PC, and data processing software is used to process the chromatograms. Then, amino acid sequence estimation software is used to identify the amino acids and estimate the sequences.
