The 6565 HF DC Bias Unit is intended to be used with a Wayne Kerr 6500 analyzer, either the 6500B Precision Impedance Analyzer or the 6500P HF LCR Meter. Its function is to provide a source of DC bias current through the Device Under Test (DUT) while the analyzer is making AC measurements. Each 6565 unit can provide up to 10 A of DC current, and up to six 6565 units can be connected in parallel to supply a maximum 60 A. A digital ammeter on the front panel allows the user to see the dc bias current value and an indicator LED shows when the bias current is enabled.

A series of broadband frequency multipliers is available with output frequencies between 18 and 110 GHz. The use of GaAs diodes on a suspended substrate circuit allows an extremely compact device. Circuit symmetry is used to enhance either even or odd harmonics while suppressing unwanted odd or even harmonics. The automated system for identifying pharmaceutical codes includes two scanners of the pharmaceutical code, two sensors for the presence of an object and a data processing unit (BOD). When the box or instructions are passed under the object presence sensors, the farm code is read by the corresponding scanner and the results are transmitted to the computer via the Ethernet interface. The BOD verifies the correctness of the read out farm code by comparing this code with the reference farm code set at the beginning of the system operation. If the farm code has not been read or does not match the standard, the packaging machine stops and the type of error is displayed on the indicators.
