It is designed primarily for the testing and verification of common terminal equipment, including standard telephones, Caller ID devices, SMS (Short Message Service) capable equipment, and any device using an analog Tip/Ring interface circuit. Supplied with the TRsSim software for Windows, it can analyze a telephone''s DTMF characteristics, pulse dialing and flash timing, generate various network tones and ringing patterns. Both Type I (on-hook) and Type II (off-hook) Caller ID is supported using either FSK or DTMF data transmission. As an optional component, the TRsSim software can perform SMS testing to either the ETSI protocol 1 or protocol 2 standards.

The new design of these transition time converters ensures very low signal reflection far beyond the 3 dB point, unlike conventional converters. Reducing the signal transition-times also increases the overall pulse-performance for overshoot/reflection sensitive applications. The converters are fitted with SMA connectors, one male, one female. These converters have been designed to convert the fixed transition-times of the Keysight 8133A 3 GHz timing generator (<100 ps transitions) to slower, fixed transition-times (150 ps, 250 ps, 500 ps, 1 ns, 2 ns) hence reducing the signal bandwidth. All transition-times are from 10% to 90% of amplitude.

The GX5960 digital subsystem represents the highest level of performance available for PXI-based digital instrumentation and features high performance pin electronics and a timing generator / sequencer in a compact, 6U PXI form factor. The GX5960 series consists of the GX5961 clock generator board with 16 driver / sensor channels and the GX5964 driver / sensor board which supports 32 bi-directional I/O channels. Up to 528 digital I/O channels can be supported by the GX5960 digital subsystem. Each digital channel features a wide drive / sense voltage range of -14 V to +26 V (maximum swing of 24 volts) which can be individually programmed for a drive hi, drive lo, sense hi, sense lo, and a load value (with commutation voltage level) – offering the user complete flexibility when creating test programs and fixtures for multiple UUTs. The 60-983 is an LXI compatible Wired Trigger Bus Terminator (WTB) designed to be attached to the end of a WTB cable. The LXI WTB uses a transmission line cable to connect LXI devices together that support the WTB capability of the LXI standard. Like all transmissions it needs to be correctly terminated to avoid reflections that could change the signal amplitude along the cable and generate timing jitter or trigger errors. The 60-983 is a simple terminator that can be placed at each end of the WTB chain to correctly terminate the transmission line with minimal reflections.
