170MHz 4-Channel DDS Signal Generator
409B
The 409B generates four independent, phase synchronous sine wave output signals and is programmable in 0.1 Hz steps from 0.1 Hz to 171 MHz. Programming is via an RS232 serial interface. Phase is 14-bit programmable and amplitude is 10-bit programmable. Internal memory can store a sequence of settings. The -AC option is available to enable users to step through settings using an external trigger. It is accurate to 1.5 ppm using the on board TCXO timebase or you can use an external timebase, There is also a /R option that provides a way to lock to and track an external 10MHz frequency input. A line powered AC adapter and SOF8_409 windows software on a CD are included.

The signal generator outputs use direct digital synthesizer (DDS) technology and are confirurable from 100Hz to 171MHz. The 1450B also includes a 1pps input that can be used to discipline and automatically calibrate the 1450B. The 1pps input signal is typically obtained from an external device like a GPS frequency receiver/antenna. This is a PXI signal insertion and monitor matrix with switched pass thru connections on both X and Y axis. It is also availablein a 16x4 format and can be used for signal insertion and monitoring purposes on connections between the UUT and test system. Each pass thru connection from LX to X can be open or closed to allow the programmatic disconnection of the signal to check the response of the UUT. The matrix can be used to connect test equipment, such as a DMM or scope, to monitor the pass thru signals via Y connections while the LY connections can be used to insert a fault condition or insert external signals. When external signals are injected the LX connections can be opened and the LY connections closed.

The DAT4530 can convert any process signal (Thermocouples, RTD, mV, Voltage, mA Resistance and Potentiometer) to a voltage or current output (4-20mA, 0-20mA or 0-10V). Each output can be different and it also has a built in limit alarm which is an SPST relay. The DAT4530 is PC programmable with the aid of the Prodat programmer and the Datasoft software which is available from the Datexel down load page. The DAT4530 is also programmable with the aid of 3 DIP switches which can be found on the side of the DAT4530. There is full isolation between the input, power supply, limit alarm output and two outputs.
