Tyre Pressure and Infra-Red Sensors
The system consists of a powered pressure and temperature sensor with transmitter fitted to a wheel rim. This sends pressure and temperature data over an RF link to a compact receiver on the car. Sampling rates increase automatically when either a change in pressure is detected or when wheel inertia is detected. The system stops transmitting below a threshold pressure to preserve battery life. The receiver sends data to the car control via CAN.

This NI CompactDAQ configurable data-logging system includes an NI CompactDAQ controller or chassis, C Series I/O modules, and Chameleon software. It is designed for structural test and monitoring applications with the NI CompactDAQ controller, which includes built-in processing and nonvolatile storage for running Chameleon software and logging data locally. Alternatively, you can choose a USB or Ethernet chassis for a lower cost system that requires an external PC. This system accepts a variety of C Series I/O modules, so you can mix and match microphones, accelerometers, and temperature and bridge-based sensors.

The Doppler Current Profiler Sensor (DCPS) is a medium-range, 600kHz current profiler smart sensor. It offers high-quality ocean current measurements and is ideally suited for cabling directly to various systems or dataloggers via serial or AiCap bus. With its integrated compensation for tilting and movement, the sensor is commonly used to measure current from buoys and other moving platforms.The 5400/5400R version of the current sensor is 300m depth rated, the 5402/5402R version is 4500m depth rated, and the 5403/5403R version is 6000m depth rated and intended for commercial as well as research use. It comes with an integrated temperature sensor that can be calibrated on request.As an extension to the DCPS, we now offer the current profiler with an integrated pressure unit called the 5400P. Using a 1280 x 1024 InGaAs sensor from SCD, the OwL 1280 offers visible extension from 0.6µm to 1.7µm to enable high sensitivity imaging. The camera sensor temperature is stabilised to 15°C and the camera does not have a fan.
