Four-Port Tunable Laser System Source

The Keysight N7711A and N7714A tunable lasers are single-port and four-port sources, available with C-band or L-band wavelength coverage. The narrow linewidth and offset grid fine-tuning capability make them ideal sources for realistic loading of the latest transmission systems. All models can reach any wavelength point within their specified wavelength range just like all other Keysight tunable lasers. In this mode, code compatibility with existing test setups based on Keysight's range of full-size and compact tunable lasers is a great asset. In system loading applications, it may be preferable to grid-tune the lasers like system transmitters, simply by changing the channel index. The channel grid is adjustable to standard ITU-T grid spacing like 50 GHz, and to arbitrary grids. Likewise, the zero frequency (base channel) of the chosen grid is adjustable. A 12 GHz fine-tuning range allows de-tuning the frequency.

This form factor allows for uninterrupted measurement during slow walking while measurement results are communicated to the operator through headphones. ElvaX Geo is operated through a PDA in a protective enclosure, which can be put underneath outer garment in case of extreme climatic conditions. The Li-Ion Battery can be hidden as well. ElvaX Geo software uses both the Fundamental Parameters and the Empirical Calibration Methods. Fundamental parameters analysis of unknown samples without empirical calibration is remarkably accurate. However every instrument is calibrated for the basic mineral types with NIST or NIST traceable samples. ElvaX Geo demonstrates excellent limits of detection and repeatability.

The S930907B spectrum analysis (SA) adds high-performance microwave spectrum analysis to the N522xB/N524xB PNA family up to 70 GHz. With fast stepped-FFT sweeps resulting from optimized data processing, the SA application provides quick spurious searches over broad frequency ranges. Simultaneous spectrum measurements can be done using up to five test and reference receivers. This multi-channel SA can be used with the internal swept-signal generators for efficient measurements of spurious signals emanating from mixers and frequency converters. The SA application employs source-power and receiver-response calibration as well as fixture de-embedding, providing in-fixture and on-wafer spectrum measurements with the highest level of accuracy.
