Tactical Video Data Link (TVDL) is a video and data receiver/transmitter system specially designed for attack helicopters. This compact and lightweight system, weighing less than 4 kg, enables real-time, high-quality video imagery and data captured by UAV payloads or ground-based sensors to be displayed directly to the aircrew. This saves the need for lengthy radio dialogue by creating a common visual language amongst all forces in the battlespace and dramatically shortening the sensor-to-shooter loop. Targeting for the next-generation 40Gb/s system based on advanced optical differential phase shift keying (DPSK) demodulation, Optoplex’s 40Gb/s Integrated DPSK Receiver (DPSK Rx) demodulates an incoming DPSK optical signal into a pair of differentially (amplitude) modulated RF outputs at data rate up to 43Gb/s in a compact package. Phase modulated optical signals offer much better dispersion performance compared with traditional amplitude modulated counterparts because the carrier light stays on all the time so that the intensity-dependent nonlinear effects in the transmission link are avoided, resulting in longer transmission distances.

The Validyne model SI314 is a network interface that connects our model P61 USB pressure Transducer to your smart phone or network web browser. The SI314 supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections and will display current pressure readings and transducer status on any web browser or via smart phone. The SI314 also displays the transducer temperature, date of calibration, model and serial numbers and these can be viewed wirelessly or by Ethernet connection. The SI314 makes your P61 accessible from anywhere in the world. Data logging of pressure data is configured via a web browser or smart phone and readings may be stored once per minute to once per hour. A thumb drive or memory card collects the data in comma separated file format(csv) for download to your computer. The data may also be accessed via the network. A graph of the data is also generated on request. A Twitter function allows pressure data to be tweeted from the SI314 at user-defined intervals. The transducer zero and span calibration adjustments are password protected and operated via browser buttons. No potentiometer adjustments are required to calibrate the P61 transducer.
