The 40-412A-021 (PXI) and 42-412A-021 (PXIe) are 64-Channel Digital Output modules with high output voltage and current capability. The outputs can be used for high or low drive and each channel is capable of sourcing 0.5A from the high side or 0.5A sink on the low side. Accidental operation of both high and low side driver on the same channel is prevented by the supplied driver. Outputs are fully protected against over-voltage, over-current and thermal overload, ensuring robust and reliable operation in the toughest test environments. For high side driving, the voltage source is supplied externally, allowing the module to drive high capacity loads separate from the chassis power supply. For low side driving, the external source is not used and the module’s output operates an open collector or open drain driver.

Remote Control Interface
The kit is supplied with this PCIe card which can plug into any PC PCIe slot, a PXI module for insertion into Slot 1 of a PXI chassis and 3m lead to connect the two parts together. The interface uses a single lane PCIe connection from the PC to provide a software transparent link from the PC PCIe backplane to the PXI backplane. The supplied 3m shielded lead ensures the system has robust operation and an adequate separation distance between the PC and the PXI chassis.

The MD-7500-HD is designed to simulate the driving conditions that fleet vehicles encounter on the road every day in a safe and controlled shop floor environment so that critical engine and drivetrain systems can be evaluated to insure vehicles are performing properly and at maximum efficiency. What’s more, the MD-7500-HD offers several levels of testing capabilities in a modular, compact package and with capabilities that can be upgraded in the future as your needs change. Every vehicle in your fleet can now be tested and validated before and after a repair to ensure proper diagnosis and repairs have been performed. In addition to testing repaired vehicles, the MD-7500-HD can be used to test vehicles on a regular basis as a preventative maintenance measure which decreases unexpected breakdowns and allows fleet management to control fuel costs while reducing repair costs. Periodic testing keeps fuel consumption to a minimum and helps technicians identify suspect components before they fail. A proactive approach to Fleet Service can prevent unexpected engine and or drive-train failure which saves organizations thousands of dollars in lost fair revenues. At the heart of the MD-7500-HD is a set of three air-cooled eddy current power absorbers. Each absorber, or brake, can hold up to 600-hp (total power of 1,800-hp) – more than enough to simulate a fully loaded transit bus. As the systems PAU’s (brakes) are air-cooled, no water is required to or from the device – eliminating the high cost of water consumption and/or the cost of an expensive water recovery system – which can sometimes exceed the cost of the dynamometer system itself. Mustang is the only company that offers a Universal Fleet Test Bed without water supply requirements. AC Motors can be added to simulate regeneration and validate range for organizations that have transitioned to carbon free electric propulsion.
