Thermalyze Extension for Steady State Analysis
Lock-In
Steady-state thermography is limited to detecting hot spots that heat up a minimum of 100 mK (0.100°C). This may be useful for locating shorts on high-power devices, but is inadequate for detecting low power defects such as semiconductor device leakage current or short circuit with very low or very high resistance. Steady-state thermography also suffers from poor spatial resolution as the heat from localized hot spots diffuses rapidly, blurring the location of the heat source.

Dione 640 CAM Series
The Dione 640 CAM series is based on the Dione 640 OEM thermal imaging core with 640 x 480 pixels and 12 μm pixel pitch. The NETD is less than 40 mK (available upon request) or 50 mK. The maximum frame rate is 60 Hz.The camera cores are optimized for low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power). The Dione 640 CAM is both lightweight and small. It utilizes Xenics image enhancement for advanced image processing while keeping power consumption low.All Dione 640 CAM versions have the same SAMTEC ST5 connector and are GenICam compliant. Dione 640 CAM is a LWIR uncooled thermal imaging SWAP module with housing supporting M24/M34 lens (optional). The ultra-compact Dione 640 CAM series find application in safety and security systems, as well as in industrial thermal imaging systems.

Image intensifier tubes (IITs) are vacuum tubes that amplify a low light-level image to observable levels. Image intensifier tubes are the most important modules of night vision devices that play crucial role in defense/security/industrial applications.Technology of manufacturing of image intensifier tubes is very difficult and performance parameters of modern IITs varies even within the same technological process. Next, test report offered by manufacturers cannot be fully trusted because there are some differences in test methods used by different manufactures. Further on, there are literature sources presenting conflicting claims of different manufacturers. It is quite common to find on the world market two night vision devices (or two image intensifier tubes) of the same data sheet parameters but of totally different image quality. Inverse situation is possible, too. *Beam Propagation Analysis
M²
M², or Beam Propagation Ratio, is a value that indicates how close a laser is to being a single mode TEM00 beam, which in turn determines how small a beam waist can be focused. For the perfect Gaussian TEM00 condition the M² equals 1. M² cannot be determined from a single beam profile measurement. The ISO/DIS 11146 requires that M² be calculated from a series of measurements. M² is measured on real beams by focusing the beam with a fixed position lens of known focal length, and then measuring the characteristics of the artificially created beam waist and divergence. We have a number of solutions for the measurement of M² ranging from simple manual processes to fully automated dedicated instruments, depending on the frequency of the need to measure M² of lasers and laser systems.
