Single Channel USB Programmable Instrumentation Amplifier

The USBPIA-S1 stand alone USB controllable module provides a single channel of high-quality instrumentation amplifier and optional AC coupling, for front-end signal conditioning compatible with all popular A/D converter devices. The USBPIA-S1 is powered with 9 to 12VDC so it can be connected to a battery voltage source or the supplied 115-220VAC adapter may be used for operation with wall power anywhere in the world. When programmed from the USB port, the USBPIA-S1 will remember all of the programmed properties between power cycles. Program once and operate as a stand- alone signal conditioner without having to reprogram for every use. This is perfect for turn-key applications. It's easy to connect the USBPIA-S1 into the data collection system. Input and output signals can be routed through BNC connection or using the detachable screw terminal connectors. Optional SMA type adapters are also available.

Analog thermocouple amplifier board based on the AD849x from Analog Devices (successor of the AD597). This quad-channel thermocouple board converts the very low voltage signal from a thermocouple to a highly-linear, 0.005V/C output with either 0V or 1.245V offset (both configurations stocked) while removing unwanted noise from the signal. Many supply and output configurations are available with this board, though the PCB was designed with Arduino in mind. Specifically, the output header will plug directly into a standard Arduino Uno or Mega, with a pin-for-pin match for power supply, ground and analog outputs. With a 5V Arduino, temperatures from 0C to 1,000C are possible with the 0V offset board and -249C to 750C with the 1.245V offset board. If using a 3.3V microcontroller (Due, etc), the board must be supplied with no more than 3.3V to avoid damaging the microcontroller. Temperature measurement range is dependent on the supply voltage. It is possible to supply the board with higher voltages to allow temperature measurement over the entire operating range of the K-Type and J-Type thermocouples, allowing use with more capable data acquisition equipment.

Fairview Microwave’s solid state GaN (Gallium Nitride) power amplifiers (also called SSPAs) feature broad frequency bands ranging from 30 MHz to 7.5 GHz and very high gain levels from 43 to 60 dB. These GaN SSPAs also show impressive harmonic response (-15 to -20 dBc) under worst case conditions. Saturated output power levels range from 10W to 100W with 20% to 35% Power Added Efficiency (PAE). All of our high power solid state GaN amplifiers from Fairview have internally regulated single voltage supplies. Our GaN SSPAs are designed to withstand environmental conditions such as humidity, altitude, shock and vibration with an operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. The Mod. V975 is an 8 channel fast rise time amplifier housed in a 1-unit VME module; each channel features a fixed voltage gain of 10. Channels are bipolar, non-inverting and can be cascaded in order to obtain larger gain values. Input bandwitdth is 250 MHz for signals up to 50 mVpp and decreases for larger ones (up to 110 MHz @ 400 mVpp). Each channel is provided with three LEMO 00 connectors, one for the input and two bridged for the output.
