The MSR 500/2 CAR 4WD guarantees optimum measurement accuracy and reproducibility through the active measurement of the towing power.The rolling behaviour of the tyre is the same as on the road. Operating methods such as load simulation, including optional modules for the measurement of external data, e.g. driving cycles, are possible.

Wheel Play Detectors
A play detector consists of two plate units on which the wheels of an axle are placed. The plates are moved horizontally in an oscillating fashion by hydraulic cylinders. This movement can be done in different directions. In this way an inspector in the inspection pit can easily check for play on the different components underneath the vehicle. To make it even easier, the remote control unit to start and stop the plate movement has a built-in lamp.

The MD-ASM-150-AWD (4×4) tests both axles of the test vehicle under the same imposed load; while at the same time providing for front-to-rear axle speed synchronization. Front-to-back roller speed synchronization protects AWD center differentials, provides for a means to safely test 2WD vehicles with traction control, and allows for testing to be performed under real-world load conditions. The MD-ASM-150-AWD (4×4) accommodates wheelbases from 86 to 128 inches (218 – 325 cm) without moving parts.
