Many network topologies provide resiliency to protect network services. This typically means re-routing traffic away from a faulty line section. However frame loss will occur if a connection is re-routed. When traffic with a given transmitted frame rate is sent through the connection during re-routing, packet loss can be measured and the convergence time can be calculated. Optional peak & valley compensation ensures proper and quick matching of the load parameters. Real time displays of the prescribed versus actual dynamic load or the dynamic deformation measurements by each sensor are always present. Deformation ratio of the two sensors, Rv (to ensure that the two deformation sensors are in agreement) and Mr are also calculated in real time. Silver Ball Matrix Sockets
SM Contact is a unique contact that has precise silver balls held together by a proprietary conductive formulation. These conductive columns (diameter optimized for 50 ohm impedance) are suspended in a non-conductive flexible elastomer substrate with a patented solid core for enhanced durability and reliable performance over time, temperature and cycles. This flexible substrate is very compliant and resilient and enables the conductive columns to revert back to original shape when the force is removed. Solutions are available for 0.25mm to 1.27mm LGA, BGA, QFN, CSP, POP, WLP and other packages. The silver ball matrix contact technology is also available with a protective plunger matrix (a gold plated copper cylinder) that sits on top of the conductive columns. This plunger matrix protects the conductive column from contamination from various solder ball interfaces. A quickly replaceable plunger matrix enables minimal downtime during final production test. For indirect tensile testing, such as for resilient modulus, these extensometers measure the lateral deformation of specimens. They are self-supporting on the sample and clip on in seconds. The traditional way this deformation has been measured was prone to errors caused by slight rocking of the sample as it is loaded. The self-supporting design of the Model 3911 eliminates this problem. This unit will handle the dynamic pulse requirements of resilient modulus testing.The speed of mounting makes test set-up much faster than with the older method. The pivot mounting used ensures that the specimen contact pads meet the often uneven asphalt surface as well as possible. The measuring range options available allow a wide range of testing, yet can easily measure the sometimes very small displacements required.The Model 3911 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.
