Motorized Polarization Controller. In addition to its basic function of adjusting polarization states in multi channels, it also provides convenient ‘save and recall’ functions. As a Scanning PC, it provides very powerful ‘auto scan’ modes with variable scanning speeds. Polarization states can be manipulated by either manual adjustment or remote control (GPIB, RS-232) using two quarter-wave plates in each channel of the PC1600. Additionally, the auto scan mode of FIBERPRO’s Motorized Polarization Controller has been upgraded in LPC, and it shows another auto scan mode of four quarter-waveplates with higher polarization extinction ratio when connecting two channels at a high speed. CAT-5 Video Receivers
Analog Devices high speed, differential CAT-5 video receivers and equalizers compensate for the transmission losses of UTP and coaxial cables up to 300 meters in length. Various gain stages are summed together to best approximate the inverse frequency response of the cable. Logic circuitry controls the gain functions of the individual stages so that the lowest noise can be achieved at short-to-medium cable lengths. Video Distribution Amplifiers (sometimes called a video splitter – not to be confused with a video split screen controller such as our PXD510E split screen controller) are typically used for connecting a camera or other video source to several monitors that do not have “looping” inputs. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. Using a Video Distribution Amplifier will solve this problem by driving each monitor individually at 100%.
