The Astronics 1260-14 Digital I/O Switch Card provides 96 open collector channels in 12 groups of eight bits each. With the open collector version each independent group can utilize a separate internal or external pull-up supply up to 32VDC.Each channel can be configured as an input or an output and individually controlled in the asynchronous mode, or be synchronous with other channels.

This module has 16 single pole relays arranged as an 8x2 matrix as shown in the figure to the left. The matrix may be operated and wired individually for up to 16 8x2's per chassis, or jumpered to the backplane to form up to a 128x2 matrix. It is available with Type S or M reed relays for high speed, long life application. These modules are usually used for 2 wire testing where high and low meter leads must be switched between any two points. Often used for 2 wire LCR meter measurements, cable testing, or open / short testing in a variety of applications.

Each PXI solid-state SPST switch can support 25A of continuous current and switch up to 100V signals. The switch can sustain inrush currents of up to 90A. AC or DC signals can be switched since the switch is polarity insensitive.
